This Means You is a series of vernacular meditations on the impermanent American landscape. The work explores the interplay of an idealized past and its inexorable disappearance. There is a human presence in these images but only via inference and allusion. In many ways, it’s this physical absence from which the images draw their strength. Impressions are made at a more elemental depth, below explicit communication, echoing that most universal of all human experiences: the passage of time and what is left behind in its wake.
